15u HU! Medium Large Karen van Schaik - bs, as, sss, compositions Laurence Cousseau - fl, Pierre-Antoine Savoyat (tp), Bruno Grollet - ts Nico Chkifi - dr Fil Caporali - double bass Michel Hatzigeorgiou - Fender bass Amèle Metlini - violin Julien Guillain - violin, Marie Ghitta - viola Eugénie Defraigne - cello HU! is a jazz project that challenges todays' unconscious gender biases and the fact that there are still so few female jazz instrumentalists (only 5% jazz instrumentalists are female). HU! plays with the traditional roles of musical instruments, transforms relatable situations from daily life into music and brings to the table fragile subjects with musical pieces like "High Pitched Voices Often Get Interrupted", "The Questionable Privilege of Instant Authority", "Childhood Dreams" and "Ballad For The Frozen Eggs."

The Grammy Nominated multi-instrumentalist has created a project that is a truly ambitious take on going solo. Wood is playing everything — analog synths, drums, bass, guitar and vocals — at the same time! As well, he’s recording every song in one pass with no overdubs, click track or pre-recorded backing tracks. “That’s why it’s called fOUR, because it’s me with four limbs playing four instruments at once.” fOUR veers from complex, space-y prog rock to electronic-tinged instrumentals.
